i didn’t know them either until a few months ago, and i’ve been a nirvana fan since i was very little. my dad got me into them when i was a little girl, they were probably my first favorite band ever.

just because you don’t know a band’s members names doesn’t mean you’re any less of a fan.

i enjoy so many bands without even knowing what they look like - does that make me any less of a fan? i don’t think so. being a fan is about enjoying the music, even relating to it, not knowing the band members names or birthdays or whatever.
